New social distancing and cleanliness procedures are now a core part of how we operate on a day-to-day basis. Summarized below is a list of the various measures we’ve taken to provide you with a safer experience that still allows us to deliver our core Selina values. Here’s what you need to know:

A Contactless Check-in Process

Here’s what we’re doing to eradicate any unnecessary physical contact from the moment you arrive.

Upon arrival at the property, we’ll take your bags to the luggage room where they will be fully disinfected before they are placed in your room. In addition to this, we will be disinfecting our luggage rooms twice a day.

In line with local government guidelines, your temperature may be taken upon arrival at the property.

We will only require guests to sign forms when absolutely necessary.

We’re limiting the use of cash at all of our locations. If you wish to pay via credit card, we can charge you automatically based on the credit card details you provided when you made your reservation. Alternatively, you are welcome to use the physical payment terminal (credit card machine).

Don’t stand in line at reception if you don’t have to! Whatever you need, you can chat with our staff via WhatsApp.

At a Glance: Enhanced Safety & Sanitation Protocols

Get in the know about the essential changes we’ve made to keep you safe on the road:

Our trained teams now operate in accordance with all COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols. No matter the query, we’re fully prepared to assist with any issue regarding health, safety, and hygiene.

When you check-in, you’ll be able to opt-in or out of housekeeping services. Housekeeping will wear full protective clothing (PPE) at all times.

We’re sanitizing all communal spaces, working areas, and swimming pools according to human interface cleaning protocols. That means particular attention to ‘high-touch’ points like buttons, handrails, door handles, locks, faucets, counter surfaces, etc.

We’ve limited the occupancy at all of our locations in accordance with local restrictions and regulations.

All of our cleaning products are now ECOLAB certified - the global leaders in water, hygiene, and energy technology.

Food and drink will be served in locations where distanced eating is an option. Whether it’s a chef-prepared picnic basket, an open-air restaurant, or breakfast in bed we’ll provide you with a safe, on-site dining experience that’s bursting with local flavor.

All of our restaurants will be operating at 50% capacity

Our tables will be spaced 6 feet (2 meters) apart from one another to ensure appropriate social distancing.

If your location allows it, you’ll pay for your meals using a cashless payment method.

Food & Drink

We’re saying goodbye to physical menus, and instead, you’ll see all of our healthy, organic options on display.

As always, masks and gloves, and correct PPE will be worn by all of the kitchen staff who will be washing their hands once an hour.

Here’s what we’re doing to keep you safe as you enjoy our communal kitchen, cinema, swimming pool, and cowork spaces.

We’ve increased our cleaning protocol to 5 times a day across all communal areas. The first and last clean will be a deep clean and the second, third, and fourth sessions will focus solely on ‘high touchpoints’.

Multiple sanitization stations are available in all common areas.

All elevators are cleaned and disinfected hourly, with special attention to ‘high touchpoints’.

Cleaning materials will be available at all coworking spaces for sanitization before and after use.

We’re operating our swimming pool at 50% capacity to ensure appropriate social distancing.

We’ve increased the spacing between hot desks and workstations at all of our cowork spaces to comply with recommended distancing of 6 feet (2 meters).

Your mask will be stored in a safe place during your meal.

Our Staff

Our trained team of dedicated staff is going above and beyond to help you stay safe on the road. Here are the changes we’ve made to their day-to-day routine.

We’ve implemented employee temperature checks at the start of each shift.

All of our staff will wear protective masks at all times.

All of our staff will have designated handwashing breaks to eradicate the spread of germs.

All equipment (including housekeeping and maintenance materials) will be cleaned before and after each shift.

Please note: our new protocols are being reassessed daily according to local government guidelines. We are completely prepared to adapt our protocols accordingly.
